# Background Audio

The background audio control works by automatically instigating audio recording for  each page that a background audio control is placed.

Recording begins automatically in the background immediately as the mobile user transitions to the page.  
  
If the subsequent page also contains a **background audio** control, recording will continue uninterrupted. If the user transitions to a page without a **background audio** control, then the recording will be stopped.
